god! started this game today and....it seems like a complete turd. i enjoyed the other gw games in the franchise but this just seems to both look and play like petrified dog shit. does it get better? anyone play all the way through this? as it stands i am wondering if i should waste my time playing it when i could be playing less garbage worthy games....

PM sent. I haven't played it myself, but from the videos I've seen it looks more like Doujinwing. I know the PS2 port lacks Tate as well. I'd still like to give it a try though.

It's alright. I loved the first 2 Giga Wing games, especially the scoring system in the series.

At first I hated Giga Wing Gen. The options didn't allow me to tate, probably because its a wide vert shooter if that makes sense, the graphics are really...odd. I have no clue why the devs would want the game to look the way it does. I found myself losing track of my ship along with the bullets coming at me at times :lolz:

After playing it for a while, I got past all of those little things and like it a lot. Not as much as the first, but it's still good in my opinion. The stage variety is nice too. It is Giga Wing after all. I don't play it as often as other shooters on my PS2, but its nice to have I guess.

The arcade game can be fun. The PS2 version is a terrible port. Arcade=60fps PS2=30fps, and this cause some bullet patterns to be impossible to dodge. Throw the ps2 port in the garbage where it belongs.

I forgot to mention that. The frame rate is shit.

I'd say its a fun game. Lacking tate really hurts the PS2, but the Type X is sweet!
