I have got this jp AES of MSX, but I noticed that one of the prints has a greyish color. (the other one is just green) Is this normal? I fear that I might have gotten a bootleg or something.

Thanks in advance.
(I'll try to take a pic from it if I can manage to get it online)

I've an US copy of MSX and I've also noticed this and mine is not a bootleg - I'm sure.

I don't think your cart is a boot, but it would be intresting to see if all MSX have this particularity.

if any one knows the answer, it would be intresting to share it.

thanks.

That is normal, I had MSX English Version and it was the same. That is pretty common for home carts from what I've seen, no worries wink

Relax, it is genuine. Here's a shot of my US MSX (purchased direct from SNK USA):

It all has to do with a new board SNK used to put the V and P roms on. Different from color, looks almost like the encrypted boards used in later games such as KOF 99, 2000, etc.
Name of that board is PROGEOP, where the CHA board in MSX is still CHA512Y (like KOF98, Neo Ceo Cup, etc...)

Nothing to worry about at all.
