For me...
GB:
Final Fantasy Legend II - One of the most difficult RPGs I ever finished... and that was '92-'93. Fantastic Uematsu music too, first real "score" for the handheld IMO.
Final Fantasy Adventure - Small wonder that I would love Secret of Mana later
I asked for "Final Fantasy Legend" for Xmas, my mother got me Legend II, my aunt Adventure. Two great accidents
Great Greed - Obscure sleeper RPG classic! Find this and play it now. I got it on a lark in '94-ish after seeing a piece in Nintendo Power on it. It was already in the bargain bin then too, lol.
Fortified Zone - Hmm I think I actually liked the idea of this game more the game, might have to play it again to know for sure. Sort of like NES Metal Gear (base infiltration) meets NES TMNT (character switching).
GBA:
Golden Sun - The reason I bought the GBA SP on its release day. What a game.
GT Advance 3: Pro Concept Racing: A surprisingly complete "Gran Turismo" like racer.
