Guys I am having a problem with my Sony TV kv-es34m90 (Digital TV) http://www.sony.com.hk/sonystyle/affiliate/istore/home/kv-es34m90.html

I just bought it and it is not working with my neo geo (the picture some how goes to the right then left then become darker then return to the center then do the same thing again) .I tried the ps2, game cube, DVD, vcd and vcr everything works perfect with the TV except the neogeo I checked with pervious TV which is a Sony Wega too but an older model (analog) which I gave it to my brother and the neogeo perfectly works on it.

My friend told me that this problem may be coming from the digital-analog compatibility. I.e. my TV is digital and the neo geo is analog but he is not sure, so any advice on what to do. Any solutions?

Thanks

I have the same problem with Sony Wega KV29AR11.

Sony techician has came down to take a look at my TV and have even bought back my neo geo back to the service centre. They report 1 mth later that there is nothing they can do, some Sony TV just won't work with it! frown

Hi,

Isn't it possible to turn of digital support. I also have a Sony TV, and I can switch to Standard 50Hz, Digital 50Hz or Digital 100Hz.

So maybe this is also possible on your set.

Happy Gaming,

Eric

BTW did anyone use analog-digital converter before?

You paid nearly $20,000 for a 34" flat screen television and instead of asking for professional advice, you ask people on a website?

Some people have too much money for their own good. oh_no

No I paid US$ 2,500. And about asking people here, I do realize people in this forum are more professional with neogeo than the sony technician.

Sounds like your TV is nstc and your NEO is PAL.
Check and make sure they are the same.

it is a problem with the sync circuit of the TV.

Many new Sony model has this problem.

I just verfied today that not only do KV29AR66 will not work with the Neo. KV29AR60 and KV34AR66 will not work either.

However KV25AR66 have no problem and offer a very beautiful pic.

A workabout is to use a external RGB encoder

I connect my Neo Geo AES to my Supergun which have no problem with the TV.

RGB Sync into the supergun and using the encoder in the supergun, the pic display correctly.

Hummm does that mean I have to buy a supergun? If yes were can I buy it from because it’s difficult for me to do one and I don’t have that experince with electronics.

Thanks buddy.
