Well I recieved it today and it was in just as good a shape as the US Metal Slug 3.
as for the packaging
-well packaged (I thought the parcel sounded loose inside, until I opened it and found that there was a totally seperate box with the game wrapped in newpaper and bubble-wrap)
-the game cover and insert were in great shape. The insert was as colorful as the promo scans.
-the cart sticker was pretty dark. Cart sticker normally bleed a little, and with all the very dark colors they chose for the game pics the cart sticker is almost muddled.
as for the manual:
-the most entertaining part! SNK ENGRISH LIVES!!!
-thick color paper -very attractive and had epillepse warning sticker.
-added items like the Tiger NGPC item
-delightful mistakes in spelling and grammer make reading it an adventure (I'll probably review this game and include all the highlights like my Spinmaster review).
as for the game
-overall more fun than I was expecting
-no slowdown
-there wasn't too much variety, but what was there worked.
-nice options menu
-the soundtrack was nice, although a few of the sound effects for the generic badguys started getting to me (the girl scream and the hawk-creature top that list)
-that last boss was one cheap sonuvabitch
-the last boss also defied SNK Engrish (see manual) by uttering the single most obscure vocab word I've seen in a video game: ineluctable: (1)unavoidable, (2) inescapable... Such an odd word that I looked it up in the Oxford Dictionary just to make sure that SNK hadn't started making up words <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
