This might become a money pit but what the hell. Gotta spend that money somewhere, hookers and cocaine are just a even bigger money pit with no resell value.

So as the title says I am looking to get a good cave shooter, any suggestions for something that would be in the 300$ range?
Preferably an horizontal one, since it might be hard to tate my current tvs. Unless it's possible to rotate the game in the options?!

Or if anyone has a list of prices/ballpark range for cave games, I'd appreciate that too.

Progear
Death Smiles
DS Mega Black Label

These are the only hori Cave games. The rest are verts. Progear can be had for around $350, but DS and DSMBL will cost about 2x that at least.

For $300, your gonna want to look at the older verts like DonPachi, possibly DoDonPachi, ESP RaDe, ESPGaluda.

I think for $300 Progear is your only choice for Hori - DS is more than twice that much, much less MBL.

Progear it is then, which I really like.
I thought there would be more options for horizontal , oh well.
Now to find one.

And how. I hope this 3D take on a 2D series isn't a glimpse of things to come from CAVE.

Thankfully it isn't! :D

Oh, and for progear, check out here. If you need it now, that's a good place to go :). Only chance of finding it cheaper I fear would be through forums, and I haven't seen one in a little while now, but I also haven't been looking for it, so...

Yea that's a bit too much for me and I guess that doesnt include shipping.
I'm not in a hurry to get it, so i'll wait for a better deal.

But thanks for the link there's some good stuff there that I might pick up one day.

For the price your. Wanting to shoot for, id suck it up and turn your tv, or lay down on the couch. ESP Ra.De. is a killer shooter, and can be found for around 200.

esperade all the way....progear is sweet but those capcom boards scare me. most of the other good cave shmups can be had on consoles(guwange soon!) i dont see the sense in buying something for 800.oo when its console counterpart is less than a hundred...even if it isnt quite"arcade perfect" i think its mostly bragging rights...

I think they are getting busy. Last time I talked to them it took three days to get a response, but once you have a dialogue going, they are pretty good at getting back to you.
