Espgaluda II is available. I dont think the app stores are region specific.

Hopefully they're working on a 360 port as well.

Yes. Cave has stated that all of their iPhone releases will be available worldwide. That's including DDP DFK of course. Espgaluda II is out now as well. Everything is available on the app store.

You dont have a cab right?

I have a cab. I see what you're getting at--but at least ports to consoles don't have to be watered down in order to be consolized, these days.

iPhone/DS/other handhelds have their shmups, but they're almost always watered down, made to fit into the handheld's requirements (design limited by limitations, not design limited by creativity--the way it should be), or just not as enjoyable; you're limited by screen size, controls, and the handheld's power.

At least with the current 360, Wii, and PS3; your choice of controller, screen size, game library, and preferences in general are widened a fair bit.

I don't really care for this news, but it would have been nice of them to announce a 360 port before a handheld release. People are already assuming the 360 port is still coming because there's no way an iPhone could possibly run Daifukkatsu properly.

iphone only, or other handsets as well? This would look rad on the 4.3" sprint evo screen.

From the Cave World website:
iPhone 4/iPhone 3GS/iPod touch 3rd Generation/iPad

Thx for the 411. I browse from my c950 (text only) most of the time, and hadn't had a chance to hit cave's site up on a proper comp. Much obliged.

Game has been submitted to Apple, next title is 60% complete and will likely be announced when DDP is released.

The next game will be a port of Mushihimesama Futari which was hinted at earlier this year on their site with a Mushi Avatar pic under upcoming games which was yanked after a few days.

Clearly you haven't played ESPGII. All these worries of yours although very valid will be completely forgotten once you get a hold of ESPGII. I'm willing to bet DDPDF is going to be just as good if not even better. No one is syaing this is the optimal port or game in itself but at least it will keep you company on the train, plain or at the dentist waiting room without having to carry extra stuff.

I'm all for more Iphone games like this if their done right.

Yeah I agree. I played Espgaluda II on an iphone and it was fantastic for what it is. Blows most of the crap I play on my phone when I'm bored and away from home out of the water. I'd drop $10-15 on DFK if I had the phone for it in a heartbeat. I'm sure it will be of the same quality.

Looking forward to this getting released, since Espgaluda II's port over to iPhone was really damn good.

Also good to see that Elixir still posts like a moron, since I haven't seen any of his posts in months. :3

I agree but I didn't want to argue with the guy. Kinda tired of people of that sort if you know what I mean.

I have Galuda II's limited edition for 360. My issue was that DFK was announced for iPhone before the unannounced 360 version, but that's also been announced so it's no longer a problem.

Enjoy your iPhone version.
