I recently inquired for an old style MVS 1-slot pcb and I found out there are 2 types,
MVS1B and MVS1C. What is the difference between these pcb's? The B style is more expensive, but not by much.

If you know the answer, please reply.

i think that the older boards (dunno which one) have ports for the AES joy sticks and the newer ones don't.

Of the two earlier types, one mounts the carts vertically, the other horizontally ( or parallel to the board ) Like the later FZS.
Its the one that looks like a larger version of the FZS is the one to get, it has the extra ports and is stereo

Just checked some pics of the earlier one slot boards. Its actually the MV1F Im talking about, sounds like there are four types of one slot. Please disregard my previous post, it was the MV1F that I had in mind.

I have mv1fs version
it has ports for two joysticks two mermory cards plus headphones and speakers even though i dont know which ones i would have to connect to it as the pin out is weird, its great but very open aired as i use it with my super gun, carts go in face down flat not upwards.

there's 3 1-slot types. all of them have the cart slot in parallel to the board.
the very first one is large and has a metal cart slot, heavy and sturdy as hell. has all connections.
the second one is large as well, has a plastic slot, and might be missing the LED coin counter connections.
the third one is the mini, plastic slot, no extra connectors.

Actually, there are at least 5 revisions of the 1 slot. You have the original long board that is loaded, the medium length board, the semi-short board(2 versions), and the ultra short board(newest style).

Ive been talking through my arse on this topic, after looking closer at the "90 deg" board it does appear to mount the cart horizontally, its just that the 2 different one slots ive owned ( old and new) are completely different to this, the angle of the pic threw me, my appologies folks, Ive been bullshitting I fear No more posts from me on this topic will stick to the 6 slots which I know and love

Someone probably already answered this, but I am kida slow. What exactly constitutes an "old style" 1 slot board?

the "old" one slots are better because.
1. Stereo sound
2. AES joystick ports
the "new" one slots dont have these cool features. The only advantage is being more compact, who gives a shit, inside a cab, you could fit 50 single slot boards.
If you have a choice, go for the older larger board, its more versatile.

In addition to AES ports and stereo sound, the older 1-slots can also accept a memory card reader. I bring this up because I have a C that does and an FZ that doesn't.
