got a second cab today to use my 4-slot in and the inside's not very condusive to a 4-slot. there's a vertical side sliding tray next to the left side and only about 3 inches from the tray is the power supply, mounted to the floor.
i've come up with 2 possible ways to mount the board and am wondering if anyone's run into a similar problem and has a different solution or if they have any tips to help me do this as smoothly as possible.
1. unmount the power supply and test area, sliding it over towards the right another 6 or so inches - allowing me to comfortable mount the board, vertically on the sliding tray.
2. create a stand towards the back of the cab that will stradle the power supply area and allow the board to rest on it.
each solution allows the harness easy access to the connectors, but each have slight drawbacks. the first solution would probably prove the easiest to remove/place carts in the board, but repositioning the whole supply area seems a bit much. the second is the easiest to do, but i would really need to reach into the cab to switch out carts.
if you've got any ideas or have done something similar, please reply.
thanks!
