I just added a MVS projects section to the hardMVS website. The first project is adding a credit button. I'm not sure how beneficial this will be to most people, but some will find it helpful.

Take a look, and let me know what you think. Do you want to see more projects like this? If so, what would you like to see.

Thanks

Not sure I understand what you are doing here.

If you own the cab, then before this switch did you pay for your games??

This is just shorting pin T or 16 to ground. It identical to putting a coin in. The game can't possibly tell, so will not be any different.

I guess if you have your own cab and don't want to put coins in then remove them from the cab to put them in again for each credit then it will be usefull.

Is that what you mean??

It saves you from having to open the coin door to coin up the game. It is also an alternative to putting the game on freeplay for the reasons listed at the top of the page.

The next projects I want to put up are:

Adding -5V to your harness

Rewiring your cab with a new Jamma harness

How to clean your PCB slots (thanks for the tip!)

I am open to other ideas, but those are the two at the top of my list.

I am also going to do a couple of really basics for the complete newbies like how to replace a button and joystick as well as how to replace T-molding. I know they are really simple, but there are folks out there who have never touched an arcade game and I figure it's worth doing.

Any other ideas?

Here's a project for ya:

Wiring a Irritating Maze set-up into a MVS cab.

Both Bugula and I are in the process of doing this and Bug is doing a webpage write-up with step by step details. Once it is in a useable state I'll let you know.

please also make sure to inform us if he gets electrocuted, or kills his monitor while trying to fix the marquee lights.

Yo Briggs, I did the same thing you did (kinda) with my supergun setup. If you look at the joystick in the sig you'll notice a white and black button at the top. White is start and the Black one is coin input. It's just a matter of hooking that button up to ground and the input being the coin input for whichever player you want.

I'm working on a page that describes how to build a supergun from scratch. Don't know if I'll ever get it finished though!

Peace

Take a look at the supergun I have posted for sales and maybe you can take some new ideas from it.

I built a replicate of the one I have for sales so the original one is for sales..
