I am getting S-video done soon. I need it. But I noticed yesterday that when I turned on my Neo Geo while the picture was still on cable, that when it turned on the picture quality of what I was watching got fuzzy. No, not fuzzy, but distorted just a bit. Like the power to the Neo alone made the pic get a bit worse. I see vertical lines in the picture when I'm playing. You can't see them to easily, but it's there for sure. With dark backgrounds you can see a whole pattern of barely visible lines going across the screen one way and or the other. Is this my AC adaptor? I did a search on this subject, and I think that must be what it is. But why would the TV on other channels be messed too?

I've got a VIC system and the power supply is the kind that has the power in the middle, then turns into this goofy plug that has an adapter at the end to plug into the wall. Any help? I tried switching it with a few things I have around the house, but only one fit, and that didn't turn the unit on (not enough power, I guess).

Help? Thanks!

Spike, I just got my AES and I I notice the same thing sometimes. Scrolling lines in the background of my Neo-Geo games (NOT all the time). I think this is probably just because the method of connection is the RF adapter. Is that what you're using too? I bet if you use A/V cables or when you get your S-video this phenomenon will disappear. But try nudging the cart a little or fiddling with the RF cable where it plugs into the Neo. That has seemed to work for me once or twice, though I don't know for sure. <IMG SRC="smilies/spock.gif" border="0">

Oops, I forgot to mention how I hook this up. I use RCA cables to a video section of my TV. You would think that wouldn't have an effect on the picture of other things like cable, no?

For more information, I have a Sony WWega TV. When I have other things going on other video modes, it doesn't effect those. I just turned on my Gamecube and it looks fine when I turn the power on and off on the Neo Geo. Just cable gets a bit (and I'm talking barely) distorted. I wonder if I can fix that, for you can see it in the picture on my Neo Geo.

Getting S-video soon. We'll see if that helps at all.

FYI, I'm currently using the RF adapter so I can't watch TV at all when my Neo is on...it goes all snowy.

The only other thing I might suggest is plugging your Neo into a different outlet from your TV, or at least not the same power strip, and seeing if that makes a difference??

Since you're using the RCA cables and going directly into your TV, I guess at a loss as to why it would interfere at all.
