D button does not work??

Its a US un-modded unit and the D kick will not work on player 1 or 2.Tried several games and joysticks? On my jap modded system the games and joysticks work so it has to be in the US unit . Does anyone have any ideas?

Open it up, and check for loose connections, But it honestly sounds like the processor is fucked.

Its very likely a wire to the D button broke at the solder joint.

The wiring job in the original joysticks is awful, by my standards. They aren't even strain relieved.

another posibility if its a MV-1B is that it has the irratating maze bios. This causes problems playing some games, if so you'll need to update the bios... I recomend the UNIVERSE BIOS, follow the link in my sig below.

It is a US AES system and the joysticks work fine as do the games .. what would cause the D button not to work on a system .. other than the prossesor taking a dump?
