So I've been looking for an "elegant" solution to rotating an HDTV up to 60" for the past 2 yrs or so casually.... finally this past Saturday I found one and it arrived today at my door today (fast shipping)! After about 45 minutes of assembly it's good to go. For a quick test I hooked up a pc via hdmi and fired up mame.

The stand/mount has locking wheels, metal construction, rotates counter or clockwise in full 360 degrees (and lock into desired position), has a nice crank for tilting up/down and supports displays from 37" to 60" (160lbs max load).

Next step is to hook up another powered hdmi splitter (came in the mail today also) into my setup to easily display ps2, xbox360, dc, pc, etc shmups on it with just one cable coming out of my video processor. Also probably get a little desk to rest this guy in front of the screen:

Sorry for the gigantic pictures, but just clicked a few quick ones on the cell phone. Was pretty excited to post my find to probably the only people that would appreciate the ability to easily rotate an HDTV from hori to tate and back, haha.

So far a pretty good way to start of the week. I got a new 50" plasma in the mail yesterday! When it's time to upgrade my other larger HDTVs, then I can stick a 50 incher on this stand/mount and retire the 37 incher that's on it right now. :buttrock:

hmm any links to that stand?
Have been hunting for something apartment friendly (i.e. no wall drilling) for rotating as well.

Here you go:

1) Rotating universal mount itself (no stand) $200 (RTM-L)

2) Compatible stand for rotating universal mount (stand) $320 (PSD-BW)

The pages have PDFs to the manuals or spec sheets. You can also call them to verify if a certain model tv is compatible with the universal rotating mount. The mount cannot be used by itself, to say attach it to a wall. It slides onto the poles of a compatible stand.

I think there are links to pics of other customer setups. I think other people slid it behind a desk or behind a traditional entertainment center stand. You can also opt to not attach the wheels to reduce the height of the base if you want it to slide nicely under an entertainment center that has some bottom clearance.

Personally I think the locking wheels are a nice touch. You can easily cart it around to different rooms etc. One thing I don't like though is that you have to use an allen wrench to adjust the height of the display. Although I doubt anyone would be tweaking it that often. Probably once you find a good height that provides necessary clearance, you'll leave it there.

Oh also excuse the cable mess. The stand does provide some cable management via feeding them down the main metal support bars.

Nice setup. Pricey, but definitely cool for those that can't wall mount.
