Cheap controllers

Does anybody out there use a PC joystick or joypad for their home Neo? The connectors look the same, except the PC controllers I have have pins instead of holes. I think, though, that like Best Buy sells male-to-male adapters that would allow me to plug them in. Would this damage the controller or the system? If it's not possible to hook up a PC controller to my Neo, any suggestions for a cheapie controller?

A pinout is where the functions of a wire are assigned to go to a certain "pin" on the connector. For example, the NEO controller has pin #15 as UP. I haven't tried the controller you mentioned but if it doesn't follow the pinout (you can see it on www.gamesx.com) the controller won't work properly. It should be fairly easy to rewire though. Many people rewire controllers or even build one from scratch for the NEO because the NEO uses one pin per function (10 command buttons and one ground to 15 pins) whereas Sony uses 7 or 8 for the PS for 14 commands.
