I have a PAL MegaDrive, the only problem I have with it, is it comes up as Black and White on my TV. Could it be either the power supply probably or the RF Signal? Since I am using american Power Supply and RF Switch.
What can I do to fix this problem?

If it's an unmodded PAL Genny, it outputs 50Hz, I guess your TV does not cope with that on RF/antenna. Try using another cable (not RF).

PAL systems encode the colour differently than NTSC, what you're seeing is what happens when an NTSC TV gets a PAL colour signal - it has no idea what to do with it. The fact that you have a stable image at all is surprising, since PAL units run @ 50Hz, and most TVs dislike that a LOT.

without seriously redoing the video encoder circuit, your only option is to use a RGB cable, i.e. with an amiga monitor or a cab.

If I switched to AV Cables would it slove my problem?
No, AV cables prolly won't work, you'll need a RGB cable but I guess your US TV doesn't have RGB/scart ports. Anyway, give it a try just to make sure.

Arakon's suggestion seems the way to, get a cheap old Amiga monitor such as the 1084/1084S (S = stereo), a Philips CM8833 or a Nec MultiSync 3D/4D and a RGB cable for your Genny. You can find these monitors for about $50 to $80, depending on condition and setup, sometimes for less. Yes, they're quite small, but if the tube is still okay, they deliver a very nice and clear picture. Also, they are compatible to both PAL and NTSC, even to odd stuff like PAL-60 or NTSC-50.

Another way would be to buy a signal converter but they are quite expensive.

Wouldn't it just be easier & cheaper to buy a US console? I'm sure you can pick one up for about $20.

True, it would be cheaper to pick up a USA one. Since all PAL games will work on USA Systems. Been having problems like crazy with this PAL System

no, later PAL games will not work on an US machine due to a lockout. you can install switches to get around that, tho.

AV cables should be fine if youtr TV supports Pal....possibly a Sonyt o5r similar brand would be ok...

For the uk this is how it works, we can run ntsc through av on most modern tvs.
