Streetfighter 2 jamma

If one problem has been solved there is always another that comes along. This time its my Streetfighter 2 jamma. Note that both my TVs play my MK jamma perfectly. Anyways, when I plug in my Streetfighter 2 (bootleg, I think) jamma, on one TV I get constant flickering up and down, while on the other TV I get a picture without the flickering, but with washed out colours and redish shadowing on the darker areas. I have tryed to adjust the arcade PSU voltage. The picture only seems to get better when I lower the voltage but the picture freezes meaning that the voltage is too low for the jamma. Is there anything else I can do.

You should try to use resistors in the R,G,B lines, I can't think of anything else...

If you don't see any Capcom markings on the board (and if it's single layer) it's a bootleg. All the CPS bootlegs I've seen had a crappy picture...

I'll second that.

If the board doesn't look like this:

<img src="http://www.arcadebase.de/pcps1a.jpg" alt=" - " />

then it is a bootleg, and most likely the video problems come from there. I would try to get an original one, they are pretty common and cheap, I have one myself and the video quality is superb.

Thanks for the help, I guess I will have to try to find a original one.

Regarding the MK jamma, Amano Jacu thanks for all your help it finally has worked. I just used a wire from a old sega gamegear adaptor. I cut a small piece, pulled off the plastic from each end and I connected it from pin 25 on the jamma connector on the board to pin number 2 on the kick harness. I know can pull of all the special moves. Again thank you very much. :) :) :) buttrock

Yeah, no problem.

By the way, the SF2 also needs a kick harness if you want to use kicks, you could do the same to this board, just connect the pin of the hard kick (the one most used) to pin 25 in the JAMMA harness.

actually on most bootleg SF2's, the pins 25 and 26 are also hooked up, so they'd work with a neogeo-style setup.. D and Select would be 2 more buttons.

Hi Amano Jacu,

Can you please tell me where I can get these resistors, how exaclty they work and where do they attach to my minigun?

Well, I was referring to those RGB controls like the ones the Minigun 2 features:

<a href="http://www.uberia.co.uk/uberia/minigunmk2.html" target="_blank">http://www.uberia.co.uk/uberia/minigunmk2.html</a>

With them you can adjust the levels of "brightness" of each Red, Green and Blue line, that way you can compensate the different output levels of different boards.

I´ve never dealed with those parts, so I don´t know their exact name nor how they work, you should ask somebody else. I think I saw something like that in my electronics store, though.
