I want to buy more neo cd games, but which games have quick loading or a must-have?

I have these already:
Burning Fight
Fatal Fury 3
King of Fighters '99
Metal Slug
Pulstar
World Heroes 2 Jet

Which others do you recommend? How's the loading in Samurai Showdown 4?

Isn't combining the words 'Neo Geo Cd' and 'fast loading' in one sentence kinda oxymoronic?

Games with longer loading times include SS4, LB/LB2, KoF97/98/99, RBFFS, Samurai Spirits RPG, AOF3, prolly every game with a bigger meg count than 200.

For example, Last Blade has an initial loading time of about 50 sec., with an additional 40+ secs inbetween the levels. With demo-cut activated, the delays "shrink" to around 25 - 30 secs.

Rade: "oxymoron" is a nice term <IMG SRC="smilies/tickled.gif" border="0"> - but you're wrong! <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

Neo Turf Masters is actually pretty nice loading wise. If you turn off the announcement, it saves a lot of loading time.

Anything older that you want to buy would be safe, say something like Magician Lord, Windjammers, Cyber Lip,... anything that was originally under 100Mb. I can't recall how often those needed to load, but it wasn't anything intolerable. For the most part, non-fighters don't have load times that are too intolerable.

Fighters: Well, KOF '94 is "nice" in that it loads both teams in one shot, but, of course, you'll load both teams between each match. However, that's a lot nicer than loading the fighters character by character. Fatal Fury Special wasn't too bad, either. As far as Shodown's. I don't know about Shodown 1, but Shodown 2 is the fastest loading of 2, 3, and 4 (again, since Shodown 2 was smaller in size).

Hope that clears a few things up.

Pulstar is not quick loading. On the CDZ you will wait 18 seconds after finishing a stage.

KOF'99's load times really suck. That's why I sold mine- I'd rather get a KOF99EVO for DC.

Sorry to dredge up a topic two days old, but I had a couple of games to add to the list of fast loaders...

. Magical Drop II - Not only is this game a snap when it comes to load times, but it's one of the most fun and addicting games you could ever play in your life! Great graphics and great soundtracks are part of the package too. Get it!

. Viewpoint - The load times are painless on this one, and it's an excellent shooter in every sense of the term. Another one highly recommended.

. Twinkle Star Sprites - Japanese cuteness taken to extremes, but what a fun game it is! Painless load times on this one too.

. Aero Fighters 2 - Nice quick loads and an awesome game. A tad too easy with the unlimited continues feature (except for the last stage), but still a fun one.

Mutation Nation's & Ghost Pilots' load times are pretty painless as well.

That's the rerason why I hesitate with a neo geo CD. Cheap prices, but a lot of loading time.
