I know it may be a stupid question but does anyone know when it's being released? I googled it but not too much info. I know it probably is already released but does anyone got any links as to where I could purchase it? Any help would be great

EDIT: Could a mod move this to unrelated? didn't think before i posted it. thanks

If you're talking about the pcb, move the topic into Arcade Central instead.

Does anyone here prefer it to the first Death Smiles? I've not yet played it but have it on pre-order for the 360

I agree, the graphics look like a late PS1 early PS2 game. However, if the gameplay is good I don't care too much about the looks. The graphics lack that certain charm that the original had.

I got to play it a friend's house and I was underwhelmed. The graphics are bland and the gameplay was too easy and uninspired. Stick with DS1 and forget the second one ever happened.

The rules are different, and the graphics look like upscaled Dreamcast, but the fundamental gameplay is the same. Plus the last boss doesn't have as many cheap moves. Online play wasn't bad either.

I think DS2 is pretty fun. It's a bit easier than the first, and doesn't look quite as good. But I don't think it looks that bad in person.

Cave really should consider adding a real video card to their new PC hardware instead of relying on on-board video, if they plan to continue using it and continue making 3D games that is. It's clearly not working out for them the way it is now. DS2's graphics should have looked just as good as DS1's, but either Cave's new hardware isn't powerful enough to render 3D graphics of that quality in real time or Cave just needs more experience working with it (or perhaps both). More powerful hardware would definitely give them more room to work with though.

I don't know if Cave's budget really allows for the level of detailed rendering we're used to in full 3-D games these days. Judging from the online score list, very few people bought the 360 port, which is a shame. It's hard to call the 360 version a "cash in" with how small scale of a release it was.
