I know the Xbox is made to take advantage of hdtv's, but what about regular systems? I have an XRGB 2 plus for my PS2 and eventually an AES, but I'm really tired of all the adjusting I have to do because it seems like all games will look really good, but they all need different settings to look their best. I'm wondering if I can find something I can just plug it into and go.

I also have a Tau flat screen which I really like. Do you think the hdtv with the PS2 would look better?

Also, I remember someone saying that the AES didn't look to good on an hdtv. Do yo think this is true of all 2d.

I have a 42" HDTV, and let me tell you, PS2 looks really great in that thing.

From what I've heard , AES does not look too good on a HDTV .

Its not because its 2D . Its because its an old system and wasn't made for these new high tech TVs

2D Games on Xbox and Ps2 I'm sure look perfect , because these systems are newer and are made for these types of TVs .

Just remember when the AES came out and what type of hook ups it has on the back . Theres no S video , not even stereo .

In the case of Capcom vs. SNK 2 a lot of the sprites can look pretty damn pixelated, but youll get used to it. GGX is an incredably nice looking 2d fighter for ps2 and looks even better on a great tv. Sort of like playing an anime at times.

This doesnt realy have anything to do with your question but i just thought id throw that out there :D

WEGA baby SONY WEGA. I have 36inches of pure happiness for all of my video game systems.
IMO the WEGA tv is the FAWKIN bomb. Save your pennies troops and treat your self to something good. WEEEEGAAAAA

AES S-video mod + Wega The picture is fantastic! The only fault is with such a good picture the interlaced display becomes very noticeable. People with an XBR / HD Wega, does the "DRC"/480i ->480p feature work on consoles, or does it only apply to TV broadcast signals? They had the non-HD and HD Wegas set up at the local Best Buy, the difference was quite noticeable to say the least.
