This would really assist me and I'd like to request it as a feature if it is doable in future unibios revisions.

Is it possible to have select up / down with a button combination? such as UP+START / DOWN+START ?

I mean surely its only poking a value into an address or something, I understand why it might not work mid game, but it'd be bloody awesome if you could emulate that button combination into select up / down while on the demo roll.

The main reason being I think it'd be beneficial to people with 2x4 button panels who don't want to drill it out for a select button or whatever.

Please make it so if its possible! I don't expect it mid game, but it'd really help me out if you could get it working via the demo roll! cheers.

How about just A on both sides for select up / down

Like on the MVS to jamma adaptor

It'll get around the need to get around start starting the game, and pressing A normally during the demo roll does absolutely nothing anyway.

Make it so!

I'd like to have SELECT+UP, as well as SELECT+DOWN work as you'd expect them to. Although it's no real hardship slapping the SELECT button a few times :)

Select up and down buttons work as exspected with the unibios.

To use different buttons for select up and down without drilling you can simply wire from both select button jamma outs to the buttons you already have wired. Just don't use 1up or 2up start as a select combo.

Hmm, so just dual-wire the first button with A and select?

Why didn't I think of that, would still be cool to see it in the unibios though.

Are there any games in MVS mode that make use of the select button and would have problems when its linked with A ? I can't think of any personally. Sure in Home mode as it pauses.

Using 'a' would be a problem in console mode as you say. I would advise button 'd', Doing it in the unibios is possible, I may look into it.

What a great idea, I can't believe no one else has ever thought of this.

However, itd be far easier to achieve with 2 NAND gates, and would work regardless of BIOS.
