Ok, I got a few questions for you Candy Cab owners out there:

How hard is it to get to and adjust the Monitor (things like Size, Position, V-Hold, etc)? Are the dials marked so you can see what they are, is it dangerous to access them? Are they Pots you need a screwdriver for, or are they knobs you can easily adjust? Do you have to go in through the front of the machine to try and get to it, or can you open a panel on the back to get to it?

Have any of you ever drilled holes for more buttons on your Cab? Was it hard/How'd you do it?

Sorry for the boat load of questions but I just gotta know!

Peace

the monitor controls should be on a little external board.

all my monitors do. except my really old 1980's missle command monitor ;)

drilling the button holes should be easy enough. its just drilling a hole through metal. not quite as easy as wood/plexi though. then again i wouldnt know, because i dont have one :p

Most Japanese cabinets are built for easy configuration, I think. So, that shouldn't be a problem.

Okay on my Candy to access the monitor controls you have to lift up the panel covering the monitor and they are there (albeit partially obstructed) by a cross bar. They are pot style controls and as such I'd recommend getting a plastic screwdriver to prevent accidental shortages. They are labeled, but it is difficult to get at or see the labels.

Unfortunately I'm not too skilled with drilling sholes for more buttons, but most candy resellers will gladly charge you a few bucks more to drill a couple of extra holes.

Mine is much like Revs, you have too remove the bezel aorund the monitor and use a skinny screwdriver.

The screws are clearly marked, but it is a very tight fit.
