I'm guessing it wouldn't be to hard considerating a super gun doesn't use compressed controller data, what kind of controller connector is on the 7000?

Celeber the easiest thing would be to buy one of the older NEO baords that has the AES controller ports on it .

not if you want to use AES sticks with other jamma games, you could probably biuld a simple converter for the sigma as it doesn't used compressed controller data.

Why in gods name would you want to use a AES controller for anything other than NEO games ?

Especially when the Sigma allready has badass controllers .

well thats not possible without modding, but is the sigma sticks are tight I wouldn't bother, however if you do want to mod, I can get into more details.

Well, I read here that a Sigma7000+controller costs $395, whereas the unit alone is only $275, so you save $120 on the controller, which I don't think is worth that much, no matters if it has a lot of buttons.

I also read that even if you buy the unit alone, you do get a joystick cable anyway. So even if the Sigma should have a peculiar joy port, it would be dead easy to make an adapter for the Aes joystick (that you can have for 40 bucks). All you need to know is the pinout scheme of the sigma joy port.

If Cleber is not planning to play other games than Neo, then the best solution is to get a Neo mobo with joy ports: the one pictured above is the MV-1T which is the most complete 1-slot mobo. The MV-1F is the only other 1-slot mobo with joy ports (the MV-1A doesn't have them).

Good point :

Sorry I was unaware that the controllers for the sigma were sold seperately .

If thats the case I think I would rather try to make my own controllers by buying happ parts and some plywood .

Thats why I come here .... I learn something new everyday

I would need to see how is the sigma controller socket. If, as regular superguns, is the 15-pin type (the same as Neo), only that with the pin-out changed (and uses a wire per button, not fancy chip codification), you could construct the adaptor for using the AES stick just with some wires, one female and one male 15 pin connector. You wire the two connectors making the pin-outs match and that´s all.

Check my post with links about modding controllers with more info.

It's here:

http://www.neo-geo.com/cgi-local/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=5&t=002329

It contains useful links about controllers in general.

About making one for you, if it is like that I could, but I would also need the pin-out for the controller of the sigma. I could mod a PC controller extension cable (that has that 15 connectors), here they cost 6€, so other than that I would only need another connector, the male or the female, that costs around 2€. And some soldering.

So if you manage to know the pin-out (if you have the sigma with you there´s some ways to discover it, the easiest one using a multimeter), I guess I could make the cable for you just charging you for the parts, shipping and some of my time, but take care that I'll be on holidays for most of August.

Anyway it is really easy to, if you hace minimum soldering skills you could make it yourself.

I got your mail, I'll reply later.

Anyway does anybody know any info about the sigma, specially how is the controller port? I thought their site was http://www.kaitengames.com nut it says "under construction". Any links to anywhere with info about it or at least pictures of it?
