This is a question about my saturn and the issue is most likely in my head but...

I have a flat screen crt with a decent picture and I use s- video for my saturn with it. I have another crt that I use for tate next to it which just uses composite...
Yesterday I kept my saturn on and I switched the composite chord out of the saturn and plugged in the s - video cord into the system..

And now i'm notcing the pixels in the picture alot.

In short..can you damage a systems picture by switching out the video chords while the system is powered on?

No. You are just seeing the clarity in the picture signal. Composite smoothes the pixels which is why s-video looks very sharp in comparison.
