I just purchased my first Neo Geo system--Neo Geo CD. It is used. I noticed it said to use POWCD for the AC adaptor, but my AC adaptor looks European? It is the POWCD-E. Its ratings are AC 110-240V and 50/60 Hz, so it should be okay to use on American 120V/60Hz lines? The plug requires another adaptor to fit an American outlet. It was included, but do I need anything else for safe operation?
I tested the unit and it works great. Is there any quick way to tell if it's not American, too? I did notice that the left and right edges seem chopped off--the 8-12 pixels on each side are missing. For example, on Samurai Spirits 2's title screen the copyright says "SNK Corporation of Americ" and the last "a" is gone. Is this normal for home systems? I would think if this was a PAL system it would be the vertical resolution that would be messed up, not the horizontal!
