Yeah it will work but will slowly fuck up your system. I dont recomend it. Buy a stepdown converter.

Excuse my ignorance but, what exactly is a stepdown converter?

A voltage stepdown transformer (converter) reduces a higher voltage to a lower voltage.

In Japan, the standard outlet voltage is 100V. So Japanese electrical devices are designed for a 100V input voltage. In the US, the standard outlet voltage is 120V. So in order to use a Japanese device, you need to "step down" the 120V to 100V.
