Figured it was time I did this whole introduction thing...
I just got my first MVS (and first cab, for that matter) a few weeks ago. Came with SamSho3, RBFF, Thrash Rally, and Shock Troopers. The guy I bought it from pointed me to this forum and so far it seems pretty cool here. I've already tracked down about 5 games I wanted. Its really great to see such an awesome community based around such an awesome piece of hardware.
I grew up in a Nintendo home, and I've always been an NES collector (I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 85 carts thus far). While things like the Neo Geo and even Sega were foreign to me, I still remember going to a bowling alley about 30 minutes from my house and playing Metal Slug all the time. I would make my girlfriend take ones out of my pocket to get me change so I could keep playing.
I don't tend to get involved in flame wars and the like, because my time is better spent doing more productive things, like slamming my head in a car door. I'm just here to get the latest and greatest in the world of Neo Geo, and buy some kickass games while I'm at it.

I'm still deciding if I want to do a full restoration or not. Its got some bumps and bruises, but I'm not the most handy guy in the world and I don't want to start working on it and muck it up. I can work on all kinds of computers and electronics, but when it comes to anything with woodworking I'm all thumbs. I'll likely just stick with gluing down some of the frayed vinyl and tracking down a new CP overlay.
