Hello everyone. I just bought a new Neo Geo Big Red Cab here in Winnipeg! I love it. It needs some TLC and I want to fix it up. One thing I've yet to find on here is if there is any way to diagnose the Lighted 4 slot Marquee that changes which game is lighted up as you change games. Mine doesn't work. I'm unsure what to do to see if it is something minor, the LED pcb replace or the other curcuit board? Any help would be appreciated.

P.S I would insert a picture but I can never seem to figure out how to do that..... If anyone knows how to do that aswell that would be excellent. If you want to see a picture of the cab check my profile. I just put a picture of my new Big Red.:mr_t:

I wrote a tutorial on fixing the marquee lights. Only problem right now is that the source for the panels in the tutorial is out of business so you would have to buy them from somewhere else. It is pretty pricey to buy the material but it is worth it.

Anyway, the tutorial is in my sig so you get a general idea what your dealing with.

Thank you very much. Very helpful tutorial. I also read that most places that sell generic el bulbs won't work on the neo geo's as the neo's use something different in theirs. Is that right? And what are the specifications on what to order if I find a place that can make them. Thank you very much for your time and consideration,

Another member received a sample panel from luminousfilm.com. It was an A6 panel that is a bit small. I just sent them an email inquiring about a larger size. I'll let you know the results.

You might also want to keep an eye on my thread about an LED-based replacement for the EL panels, I might have a working prototype to show off soon.
