Buzzing sound/interference with my cab!

Hey everybody,

I've had my Capcom Impress for over a year now and it's never had any major problems...until now. About a week ago, when a game is running, it randomly emits a loud annoying buzzing, whistling sound...it will come on for 5 seconds, then stop...then maybe 2 minutes later it will happen again. Lately, it's getting more and more frequent, and it will happen for longer periods of time as well. What's weird is that while it happens, I can see some interference on the screen as well (like a tiny bit of snow in the background).

This happens for every game I try, so it's definitely not the game.

What can this be? Does this mean my monitor's gonna die soon? Is this fixable? I appreciate any help on this matter!

Thanks a million in advance.

I remember something posted once about Whining Arcade Machine Fix/via using a tooth pick.

but I can't find the info online.

Or is the noise coming from the speakers?

Check your audio grounds. If ground loops come lose on audio you usually get that annoying hum. Sounds like it may be something related to grounding and such since you are seeing the interference.
