Considering it is widely known that NGPC carts are reflashable, how come no one has figure out how to do it? We are 100% sure they are indeed reflashable right?

I think I read that Flavor tried looking into it with no avail. I don't know of any other attempts to figure it out.

Anyway, I just wanted to try and spark some conversation because I think it would benefit everyone if we could burn homebrews or translations to all of those loose carts no one has any use for.

I think it was just due to lack of equipment to reflash the chip.

Someone please figure this out, you would be the greatest person ever! Seriously. Imagine being able to reflash loose common games with no market for them such as Japanese Faselei! with Flavor's CFC2 English translation.

I have some NGP/C Tech documents I downloaded a while ago, that came from around these parts I think. They have some handy info in them: http://vectorman.net/classicgames/ngpc/SNK_Neo_Pocket_Docs.zip

Samples of what is included:
http://vectorman.net/classicgames/ngpc/SNK_Neo_Pocket_Docs/ngpcspec.txt
http://vectorman.net/classicgames/ngpc/SNK_Neo_Pocket_Docs/PDF/FlashMem.PDF
http://vectorman.net/classicgames/ngpc/SNK_Neo_Pocket_Docs/MSWord/ManUpdate01/MANSysLib.doc

Unfortunately the binaries are mostly not there, and I imagine these would have had more flashing specifics to offer. Does anyone have the developement software SNK gave out to developers? If you do, would you be willing to share it, or sell it to me?

I have 20 loose Slug 1st Mission carts sitting in a tupperware container in my closet, i would sacrifice a few to play some cool stuff. And anyway, it's not like you couldn't flash them back to original later.

edit: Anyone need any 1st missions? I think I mentioned that I have a few lol.
