Sound problems on Neo Geo AES

The sound keeps going when I am playing a game, or it goes very very quiet. The picture is fine though when the sound goes. I can sometimes get the sound back by fiddling with the connector at the back of the console.

Anyone know if it may be due to a loose connection or something inside the console and how to fix it?

Is it modded?

have u tried using the headphone connector (at the front of the console)?

tried the headphone socket at the front and that works fine. Im starting to think it might be the able as the sound was going on my neo geo cd when i tried it on there just not as much. Just bought a new cable so hopefully that should fix it. fingers crossed.

Console isnt modded.

Use the headphone jacks anyway so you get stereo sound. Best alternative sound option if you don't mod it for stereo RCA jacks on the back.

I also have a sound problem with just one of my AES carts. Sorry for using this thread but I cant make a new post yet.

I recently picked up SVC Chaos (jap) for my AES. The game plays fine but there is heavy static interference over the sound. The actual sound can be barely herd under the static? Iv tried wiping the connectors on the cart plus iv used an air duster on it but no result.

Has anybody come across this problem before and if so is there a fix?

The more I try to play it the more I think something has fried inside the cart. It sounds so bad.
