For GBA:
Double Dragon Advance
Super Mario Advance
(mostly for the multiplayer, although SMB2 is also a favorite on its own)
Aria of Sorrow... I guess. As tired of metroidvania as I am now, I did put a lot of time into them.

For GBC:
Bionic Commando: Elite Forces

For original GB:
Pipe Dream
Tetris
Super Marioland
-- the original. I loved that game, but holy fuck that original GB went through batteries.
Castlevania Adventure. Doesn't hold up well, but I loved it at the time.

I know that's not 10, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

For the original, I always liked:

Gargoyle's Quest
The SaGa games (passed off as 'Final Fantasy Legend')
Seiken Densetsu 1 (otherwise known as 'Final Fantasy Adventure')

Plus a lot of the stuff already mentioned. For GBC, Metal Gear: Ghost Babel is pretty good. For the GBA... Well, we've been over that one at length, and I don't have much to add.

If you're going to choose a Mega Man, it has to be V. It's the only one that truly is its own original game. The rest are just inferior wannabe versions of the NES games. Yes, they're all worth playing, but V is the only one that really gives the Game Boy platform the treatment it deserves.

Kirby's Pinball Land
Excellent choice, and it reminded me of how truly solid a game Kirby's Dreamland 2 really was. As far as traditional platformers went, that one really gave the Game Boy something to appreciate which was truly different from the standard fare.

NOTE: Game Boy Advance is not Game Boy.

I agree that Mega Man V is the most notable, because the content is largely original, but, for me, I felt Mega Man IV had the most polish. While the Rock Man World games are based on the NES originals, they do mix things up with different level layouts, new Wily levels, and the Mega Man Hunters [Enker, Quint (ok, even I have to admit that Quint really blows), Punk, Ballade], etc. And, because they stick in robot masters from two different NES games in each one, it's kind of neat to see how new weapons/strategies work on robot masters/enemies you could never use them on before.

Yeah, I agree. They're definitely worth playing. The first one is very different, and tough as nails. The second even has all-new music, despite the 2 soundtrack being a fan favorite.
