How do I work my debug bios?

Running Samurai Shodown 2, is the only AES game I have right now,

I can switch regions, but how do I get to MVS mode? I turn it on developers MVS and the sound shuts off. And when I do put it on MVS, how do I "insert" coins?

Also, what do I do to get red blood while in english mode?

In developer mvs mode there's no attract music and sound in ss2 although I'm not sure why, but someone more knowledgeable could probably answer that.
To insert coins, I believe you hold select on controller two while pressing a or b on controller two for p1 and p2 coin drop.
For red blood in english, I think european home mode and mvs usa mode will work.

To avoid have problem, only switch to MVS mode when you're at the character select screen.

Go into the options menu and change the country setting to Japan. Exit the options menu. Go back to the options menu and change the country setting to USA, then exit the options menu and start the game
