I sent them an e-mail yesterday morning asking a simple question and I still haven't heard a thing. Then I noticed that they haven't updated their home page in like a year and a half. What's their freaking deal? Are there better superguns out there? I really want one of their systems as they support 4 button games right out of the box.

I've talked with them a few times in the last few months. They said they moved from Origon to New York at about the time of the 911 incident and it has impared their reorganization of their company. Email is the only way to contact them so keep trying. However they are not the only ones that sell systems supporting 4 button games out of the box. Try Mas Systems and Sigma. Look at these sites.

The Cadilac of systems is the Sigma. Best construction. Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the links Mr. Wizard! Massystems really impressed me with their Super Nova. I have just one question though, since the Super Nova supports six button Street Fighter-like games right out of the box, will other games like Mortal Kombat 2 and Time Killers also work?

Honestly I have no experience with those boards so I couldnt tell ya, but the best thing to do is to call MAS systems and get the number for their tech and ask him. He is asian and has a bit of a accent and his english isnt perfect so you may have to listen closely. Their emails are flaky in that you may get good communication a couple of times and the next time you email them they may not even answer so I suggest calling and talking in person. There are plenty of people here with super novas that can help with any questions about the system so if you dont get answers from MAS then you could get them here. I like mine and have had no problems yet. The big stink that you hear about Super Novas here, is the picture quality. If you are really anal about your picture quality then I would recommend getting comments about the Sigma. According to most "picture quality gooroos" here, the Sigma has the best S-video picture. Now, I have heard that the Super Nova can be used with a RGB monitor to giving you a PERFECT arcade quality picture which is the best you can get but you have to have the monitor of course. RGB is better than the Sigma can put out on s-video. That being said you gotta ask yourself if you need that good of picture and if so wether you want to buy a monitor or not. If neither then go with the Super Nova. If you gotta have the best picture then the Sigma for S-video and the Nova for RGB. I say Nova for RGB because you'll get out cheaper for the same RGB pic you get with the Sigma. Any way, continue to research the internet for info on all these things and you should make a good decision. Good luck

:)

The GW Trading H.G.A. is not that great , I was very dissapointed with it I ended up selling mine and losing 50$ on the deal . The image it sends to the TV is horrible and washed out looking .

EDIT :

I built my own supergun from a old cabinets parts , its really fun you should try it yourself .

I called them a few weeks ago regarding a MVS cart on their website.
I spoke to some woman I could brely understand.
A couple days later a man called me back saying he would have to call Oregon to check stock.
I was informed they were out of stock (contrary to the web site), and he could possible order it from Hong Kong for $25 extra (but if he couldn't get it, he would not charge my CC).
I never heard from him again, and I was able to get the cart I wanted on Ebay.
That's my GW experience....

The buttons on Time Killers are similar to the Neo-Geo. Just as the Neo-Geo takes the 4th button off the JAMMA edge, I believe that Time Killers takes all 5 buttons off the JAMMA edge.

I got my TK board a while back, and used it on my main supergun, and I got every button except for the head button (my supergun is wired for Neo-Geo). I have not tried it on my Street Fighter the Movie harness though. But SFtM is wired how I describe above, I suspect that buttons for TK will work fine if I plug it in.

You're new to this, I hope what I said makes sense.

Thanks for your help Rigel! Which supergun do you own? I'm starting to get worried now though because people say that Mortal Kombat 2 won't work on superguns because of their lack of power. Can anyone here confirm this?

Sorry, I'm replying to your posts in several different threads. How about we stick to just the other topic you have in this forum.

Take a pass. Most of their boards come from Asia and are in BAD shape. Shipping damages most of the products and response time is SLOOOOOOOOOW. The owner is an honest guy it's just that this stuff is the last thing on his mind.
