Does the Pocket have any shooters like Blazing Star or R-type?

Also whats the general opinion on Metal Slug 2nd mission? Any good?

Cotton which was released in EU and JP but not the US is the only shooter besides the 2 metal slug games.

I'd say they're excellent, actually. The Pocket is so cheap it's worth owning one just for those, to say nothing of the cool fighters.

Too bad I sold my collection when I was broke a few years back. Ah well. (Still have a Pocket with MS: 2nd Mission though... No one ever wanted to buy 'em.)

Ganbare Neo Poke Kun also has shooters, but you have to unlock them.

The Metal Slug games are the main reason I grabbed the Neo Pocket color off the shelf at a local Toys-R-Us. I purchased the system and the 1st Metal Slug game. The next week I was in the store to find another game, they had already been pulled from the shelves and was recalled back to Japan, to SNK. It would be years before I could find another game.

That one Metal Slug game kept me busy though. :buttrock: Both games are a joy to play on a portable. They fully capture the spirit and essence of the originals.

It seems pretty expensive in the EU version which I'd like to get so I hope it's worth it.

Yeah, I know what you mean... Though I bought the system when it was defunct, years later. Must have been pretty cool to play it back in the day.

Shit. I'm tempted to go break mine out and play my only game, for old time's sake. :)

(One of the only reasons I haven't in a long time is because I'm afraid I'll just want to rebuy my old collection. :emb:)

I was playing Last Blade yesterday on my Neo Pocket and it caused me to end up playing the game on my Neo Geo cd.
