Wonder 3 CPS1 Select/Title Screen Color Problem?

Hey guys, a friend of mine recently got a Wonder 3 CPS1 board and is having a little problem with the color of the game select screen and title screens being a bit off. Here are some pics of the problems:






The first picture seem to have too much blue, the second one too much yellow and the last two too much red. The in game play is fine, it's just the select screen and title/score screens for Chariot and Don't Pull where the color is off.

He has already tried reseating all the ROMs on the board but that didn't fix it. If anyone has any ideas what would be causing this your help would be greatly appreciated.

This is known issue regarding 3 Wonders.

There was a report posted somewhere a few years ago maybe this forum or shmups I believe.

It was from a European member and included video showing the colour problem.

I dont remember if a fix was found.

I had the same exact problem with my 3 wonders board-- only affected the actual game selection screen and to my knowledge there was never a fix for it.

Thanks for the info guys, I appreciate it. So does anyone know if this only affected the Japanese release? I know when emulating Wonder 3 it doesn't have this issue, so it's kind of a curious problem.

It also effects the US release. I have a 3 Wonders board that has the blue select screen. Although I bought it with the suicide battery already removed, so I don't know if the problem is related to the de-suicide roms. I'd love to find a fix for it.
