I got a neo geo 1 slot and it doesn't have a power button :(

I lost the keys to everything when my stuff and I wanna change the marquee...how easy it it to change locks?

I believe my cabinet is mono, how to add stereo?

the bezel is...cardboard? I'd like to get a new one, but i'm not sure if the original neo's had bezels?

The monitor has slight burn in, any way to fix it without buying a new monitor? I'm scared to replace the monitor...heard of people getting shocked hardcore. :(

There's a chip in the wood near the bottom on the front. I can take a picture and upload it, is there anyway like wood bondo or something to fix it?

Burn in is permanent, you may be able to adjust the monitor a little to make it less noticeable. It's unlikely you'll find one with no burn in, so you just have to get used to what you have. Changing out monitors only takes a few minutes if you find one with less burn in.

If you don't have a key, you'll have to drill out the locks. It's not hard, just need the right bit for it.

My friend's cab had a power button, but it was inside the cabinet on the PSU itself. I ended up running lines from the PSU and drilling a hole into the top of the coin box casing, and mounting it next to the service buttons.

Swapping PSU's sounds easy. This one seems...sort of sketchy. I've been shocked by it once or twice :( What kind of PSU can I replace it with?

Earth the fucking thing if you're getting shocked by it.

Discharging a monitor correctly is not difficult.

In that case I suggest you do a hell of a lot of reading before even considering doing any mains work on the cabinet, unless you don't mind someone getting killed by it.

You need to ground your cabinet. If the plug has three prongs, make sure you keep the third prong when it's plugged in so it can discharge the static that builds up in the cabinet. If it doesn't have that, then you need to run a copper wire from either a designated ground spot the cabinet has in the back, or from the frame of the monitor.

it does have the three prongs. The only time it shocked me was when I was plugging it in, I never really thought about it much since even my laptop has shocked me.

I don't mean to nit pick but this is something that has bothered me for a while..

People on this site seem to use the words ground and earth interchangeably. They are two different things.

Ground is a DC term and should only be used when referring to DC circuits. It is simply a reference to which other voltages are measured, and a common return path for current.

Earth is exactly what it says it is. An electrical connection to the earth. It serves no purpose in a circuit other than providing safety in the event of a fault. It is in no way essential for the circuit to operate, as ground is in a DC circuit.

I'll admit I group the two, as my cabinet was "grounded" by running a copper line out the window and into a stake in the ground at my last ancient home.

If you have three prong outlets and a three prong power cord chances are it is already grounded.

Besides the chance of it being an old house and the third isn't actually connected. You just can't buy two pin outlet sockets anymore. Not a very big chance though.

"Cut off?"

You really need to explain things in much more detail if you want some decent assistance. For example, how are we supposed to answer questions about your monitor when you don't even tell us what one you've got.

Sorry, I'm not sure what model I have. It's a converted MV-1. But cut of I mean the horizontal and vertical view doesn't show entirely on the screen, I just need to adjust it.
