Getting Warning Screen on Matrimelee and KOF 2000

Hello, I am getting the warning screen with a black background and red letters saying something to the degree of "game will only work with legit board" and my board is legit. I have a 4 Slot.

I've done the research and cleared the backup RAM by pressing ABC, then I turn off the system and turn it back on and the game still pops up with that screen. This is a real shame and I wish there was a way to fix it.

I have heard that another solution to this problem is to install a unibios, but I do not have the technical know-how or the money to pay to get it done.

Is there anything I can do, guys? I just received Matrimelee and got it to work once by turning it off and turning it back on but I haven't been able to get it to work after 40+ tries. I was so excited when I got this game but I'm afraid I may have to sell it.

I hear the same issue happens with ROTD and Metal Slug 4...I just bought ROTD and was very excited....am I going to have to just sell my games because my system is being detected as bootleg???

Fitting a unibios to a 4slot is easy, you simply take the top pcb away , pop out the old bios and fit the unibios in its place, finally put the top pcb back on. No soldering required. This issue can happen if the watchdog timer is not working correctly.

I'm not the most technical person either and that unibios took me 5 minutes to put into my 4 slot. Trust me dude, its a breeze. If you need someone to guide you through the process let me know, but its really nothing, just a matter of removing the shell casing and top pcb like raz said.

I have near no technical skills at all,but it was really easy to change take out the old and put in the uni.I am very happy now

Where can I buy the new unibios? And yes...I may need some help when it arrives :-P
