Hmmm...does the same thing happen with other games? The reason I ask is because my older copy of Fatal Fury 2 mysteriously "died" one day and did the same thing you're describing (white lines/faint static noise), but all other games worked fine.

It could be your AC adapter too...trust me, mine "died" as well and I'm awaiting a replacement to get back into Neo gaming again!

I only have one game, Samurai Shodown II, but I took the cart out and turned it on and the same thing happened.

Do you own the 5v 3a system??
Do you leave your adapter plugged up after you finish palying?
Did you have your adapter plugged into a surge protecter??
Are your A/V cables inserted firmly on both ends??

am not sure what a 5v 3a system is (i am new to cart systems)all I know is that I have a japanese cart system. I have only plugged it in once and when it didn't work, I unplugged the power supply to make sure I didn't do any damage to the system. It is not plugged into a surge protector and the cables were firmly inserted. I am pretty sure that it is a problem with the power supply, because I unplugged the a/v cables and tried the headphone jack and heard the same noise......
is there a power supply that I can get from a place like radio shack that would work? Thanks again for the help guys!

it's probably because you're using a USA genesis plug on a JAP cart system. Try getting your hands on an original plug. Shawn has some at the neostore. Hope you didn't fry the thing.

Hate to say it, but you probably fried it. Send it to arcade! to see what they can do to it. Can't think of anybody here off the top of my head that does home system repairs. Good luck though.
