I just picked up a copy of Ninja Master's for MVS, and am having some sound issues. During the how-to-play sequence, victory screen, and one particular stage, the sound is garbled/it sounds like there is an extra sound track overlaid on the one that's supposed to be there. The cartridge has been cleaned numerous times and the problem persists. There are a couple traces that look like they just MIGHT be broken. Would that cause this issue?

Thanks for adding the pictures, Jim!

The area that I think may be an issue is visible int he last picture - the PROG board. The area to the left of the right screwhole, about 1/2" (maybe 1-2cm) up from the contacts.... it looks like a white blur there. In fact, it seems like a couple traces there may be damaged. Would that cause this sort of issue?

In fact, is the PROG board the one responsible for sound?

Check your traces around the V chips.

Immediately coming out of the V chips they look fine, but I believe those traces may go to the ones I thought were bad. Is that likely the issue, then?

Yeah, you have to check the traces all the way to where they end. Check your solder points too.

Solder points are good. Traces seem to switch from one side to another under another chip, making it virtually impossible to trace the whole way without removing chips, it seems.
