Sanwa buttons aren't pressable?

I finally got time to install my new sanwa buttons, the snap in kind, I ordered from lizardlick onto my old aes stick today. I opted to solder instead of using quick disconnects because the quick disconnects were unorganized. After I finished soldering, out of the four buttons my Red A button and Blue D button no longer work properly. The red button is unpressable/pushable and the blue button is barely pushable but is very slow when returning to rest position. I am pretty sure that the solder didn't go into the buttons but I may be wrong. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

That's the first time I've heard of that. Did you spend too much time with the soldering iron on the buttons? I would contact lizard lick about it, see if they can do anything.

Make sure the buttons are snapped all the way in because those tabs on the side can hit the plunger sometimes.

Definitely check the switches to make sure they are seated properly... Unless you went real overboard with your solder, or left your iron on the tabs too long, that shouldn't really affect them...

I just checked to see if they are seated and all buttons are pushed in. No solder contacted the button, only the area where a disconnect would have been. Maybe I should just pry open the button and see whats happening.

Sometimes you need to rotate the housing so they snap in properly into the old style stick.

Is there anyway to open the button? I'm assuming I'm just going to have to buy the buttons again. Just want to see if theres anything left I can do. Thanks!

two things. you may have just pushed the microswitch up into the button while you were soldering, usually just push the button down hard will pop it back out and it will be seated properly.

the other thing, how tight is the fit of the buttons into the hole? I would try to grind the hole a little bigger. you want it snug but not so much that it stops the button from working. I seen that once before

Just did that. Nothing works. Might have to pay 8 dollars for 1 button since shipping blows.

Shipping from Lizardlicks does not blow. I live in Toronto and I order from them all the time. Shipping is more than fair.

It was most likely from heating the tabs way too long.
