Hello.
Perhaps this question have already been answered, but I can't find it, sorry. And sorry for my English, too.

I've got several MVS slots (1* 4 slots and 3* 2 slots), and so several BIOS ROM chips.
_ Do you know how to make the difference between US/Euro/Jap just looking the letters and numbers on the chips ?
_ When playing or in test mode, how to make the difference between US and Euro BIOS ?
_ Is there different versions of each BIOS ? How to know what version I have ? What version to choose ?

Thank you for your help !

Just one thing I've noticed: when playing League Bowling linked between different slots, the nationality isn't important since I've got Japanese, American and European ones and all work together. Just the game is in English or Japanese according to the BIOS installed in each slot.

Different region Bios have a different set color around the edge of the crosshatch screen. It also changes across hardware type.

USA bios = 2 coin counters, EURO bios = 1 coin counter.

Bios revision is indicated by the number in the top right corner of the testmode screen.

Is the coin counter the reason I can't start a two-player game in Zupapa when set to Euro region?

You can start a 2up game, you simply insert 2 credits and press 2up start. Zupapa has a bug where is does not display the 1up /2up message to start aa game.

uni-bios_2_3.rom (mainbios $0 - 128k) Universe Bios (Hack, Ver. 2.3)
uni-bios_2_3o.rom (mainbios $0 - 128k) Universe Bios (Hack, Ver. 2.3, older?)

and must be added UniBIOS 3

"vs-bios.rom" is listed as "Japan MVS (Ver. 3)". I think it mean it's supposed to be the newest BIOS made. I've got genuine ROM sp-j2 and sp-s2 at home.

Razoola spoke about a number. I've just launched a solt with sp-s2 and on the RGB test screen it's written "5" in the upper right corner. Is it this one ?

vs-bios.rom is what I would assume is for the 4p Kizuna mobo. Maybe.

Yeah, but in home mode, you're just stuck. No 2-player mode in Europe bios.

Well, that stands to reason since there wasn't a home release. I think the developers just wanted to get it out. Sucks though that it wasn't 100% complete like it should have been with all the bells and whistles.

It has pause with the select button. The only game that doesn't have that is Bust A Move Again.

Zupapa does have 2 player mode in the euro bios. Its just not done in the same way as the USA bios and there is no message. Simply enter 2 credits in the 1up coin slot and press 2up start.
