KOF 00 MVS sound trouble

Hey everyone.

I am having a bit of trouble with a KOF 00 mvs cart. The cart plays a horrendous sound instead of the correct audio. I have tried shifting the cart around a bit in the slot. Usually that just gives me corrupted graphics as well as bad audio. I have cleaned the cart contacts and mvs slots. No other game I own has trouble. I am using a MV-2F board.

I am really not sure whats wrong. I noticed that the game does take quite a bit more force to insert than my other games. Anyway ideas would be nice.

Any suggestions at all? I am stumped.

Make those connectors look shiny, probably there´s some pcb protective film on those contacts too. Try reinserting the cart a couple of times to wear it off.

Well I have done all of the above a few times now. Not sure what else to try. Is it possible that the sound rom is bad?
