MN People: Not a gathering, but a sad bit of news (don't worry, no one's dead/sick)

Sad news for the MN crew...

I know I've talked to some of you about how awesome the Big Red was at Midway Bowling Alley in St. Paul. I went there the other night for a bowling party for my aunt, and saw that the cab is no longer there. I didn't get the chance to ask the manager (whom my mom knows from bowling league) where it went, but it's definitely gone...

Though the screen was a bit weird around the edges and the D button didn't work, it had Metal Slug 3, KoF98, Blazing Star, and Strikers 1945 Plus. I put a lot of quarters into that guy getting through MS3 and Blazing Star or some rounds of KoF with my brother.

Anyway, just wanted to share that with the people who might care. A moment of silence for big red...

The Big Red SNK cab has been gone there for about a few months. I was shocked as hell myself when I walked up in there to see it was gone. I've been going to that arcade in the Midway Pro Bowl since I was a little kid (2nd grade) and that SNK cab has ALWAYS BEEN THERE. It had a nice rotation of games until 1999 when they kept KOF98 along with those shooters in there. Yes, a lot of the buttons were malfunctioned but I never thought it would leave that place.

That arcade space always had games flying in and out of it. That SNK cab was definitely there the longest. I think a lot of the machines there are owned by different people.

I really wish there was some kind of way to breath good games back in that spot. All that is there are shooters and racers.

Do you guys have any idea of who the operator was that had them there? More than likely it will be gone over and put back in a different location.

On a lighter note, at least some of ya'll personally own one.
