football frenzy showing rom info at startup ? contacts dirty ?

i'm trying to play my football frenzy on my aes and when i start it up i don't get the neo geo boot screen..i get the rom check screen...what would cause this ? dirty contacts ?

Clean your cart. Does this happen with all games; if so clean the slot.

remove game, flip on hard dip switch #1, tuen on board, keep hitting start until you get to the "clear backup ram" screen, do what it says. After you're doen turn it off then flip dip 1 off then put the game in and power on.

Hmm, do you have a unibios/debug bios or by chance have a mem card inserted during boot up?

no memory card inserted..don't think i have unibios installed ...hit a,b,and c at bootup does nothing...unless it's a different combo for the aes
