Picked up a dynamo conversion cab today with a 1FZ PCB (literally just got it in the door)-- none of the hard dips are responding...any obvious ideas? I'm about to have a little party over here and don't have time to pull the board for inspection...so I'm hopeful it's something easy that I overlooked. No changes are indicated for hard dips when looking at them in the soft dip screen also...

Try jumping the connection on the bottom of the hard dips. That way you can rule out the hard dip switch assembly. Also you can always try the trusty "clear backup ram" solution.

Check the battery for leaking and the area around the switches for damage.

Did this, battery is good -- holding charge and no leakage. No obvious damage to traces around hard dip assembly. SamShoSensei was at the house and he couldn't figure it out either.

Xian Xi, we cleared out the backup ram and it made no difference. I'll try jumping out the dips tonight / tomorrow morning and see if I can get a response that way.

Mainman, I'll check the contunity while I'm in there.

Also, another quick question...I've had 5 MV1fz boards over the years and have only had the following issue with one other PCB, coin 1 is dedicated to P1 and coin 2 is dedicated to P2 - is there a way to change it so that so that coin 1 = P1 or P2 side start? Not real sure if this is a "feature" or a quirk, but couldn't find anything in the cab setup menu to change it.

Check the continuity from point to point with the dip ON, if there is no continuity then something might be wrong with the switch and in that case either replace the switch or jump the 2 points.

I couldn't find anything about that. Everything pretty much says the Neo has 2 player dedicated. Only thing you can do is splice the 2 together to credit both sides.
