Just got my MVS to JAMMA adaptor in the mail from www.jammaboards.com. This is the one that lets you hook up a MVS Multislot board on a JAMMA cabinet. I hooked up my 2 slot board and everything seemed to go fine... until I pressed the "A" button. When pressing the "A" button on either player 1 or player 2 side your character still attacks or does whatever the A button is suppose to do. But it also inserts a credit in the Player 1 side. The credit is inserted on the player one side even when pressing A on the player 2 side. It makes a loud beeping noise, like I inserted a quarter, then my coin slot ticks until it catches up with the number of presses. On the website it says that the A button is wired on Player 1 and Player 2, to be used as a select button. I don't think I am doing that. Do I need the J1 harness? Or is something else going on?

Oh, and I have the original big red neo geo 1 slot cabinet. It is wired for JAMMA cause the original MV1 motherboard is a JAMMA board. And I have a seperate 4 pin molex connector that carries the stereo sound.

The adapter will map the A button of each player to their respective Select button.
It seems like somewhere in your setup, the select button is wired to the coin switch.

If you use that adapter with a unibios and set it to console mode, some games will pause when A is pressed, because that gets mapped to Select, which is pause on the home console. I think it was last blade I was playing last and ran into that. Setting it back to arcade fixed the issue.

Is there some simple solution to fixing this? All I want to do is get my 2 slot board in my cabinet so I play fucking Matirmelee, Rage of the Dragons, and Sengoku 3 without it resetting.

I already had that one flipped down and it still does it. And now I noticed when I use my 2 slot board that my monitor is all wavy at the top of the screen? I cant see much above the lifebars in the games. But for some reason with my 1 slot board the monitor looks perfect. I'm really getting frustrated with this cabinet. It's like god does not want me to be able to enjoy my neo geo.

Wow, man, that's rediculous; your cab sounds like a pain in the ass. Did you contact the seller/manufacturer to see if they know of any common issue that'd cause that?

I just decided to unhook the credit display wires so I dont have to deal with it anymore and now I can actually select games and bring up the bios menu in game, which also pauses the system. So it would be nice if the credit displays were lit up, but I would rather be able to select, and pause games. I'm gonna talk to this guy again in a few days thats selling the 6 slot cabinet, which is actually a dedicated 4 slot with a 6 slot board in it. So maybe I will just sell my cab and hope this one works better. I just really like my cabinet more... if it would work. There's so much room in it. I'm gonna go check this stuff out one day next week, I already talked to the guy. So if you wanna come let me know.

He has a legitimate issue as my adapter does the same, just haven't gotten around to fixing it, but its a manufacturing issue
