dreamcast hkt-3000 mil cds

i know this aint neo geo related but if there are any sega guys on here then i could do with the help, im getting back into the dreamcast scene again as i want to purchase a japanese dreamcast for the second time, i sold my first one back in 2000 and feel like i made a long wrong choice.
my question is that i want another hkt-3000 model and want to purchase the new 2009 games like rush rush rally etc but i was on playasia web site and they say that these new games might not work on machines that were produced after the year 2000, is this true if so i will have to source a machine that is is 1999 spec, please let me know your answers?

dont worry i just found out that for me to play last hope and any other cd-rom based game i need a mil cd dreamcast other wise the cd-rom based games wont play...

Very very few dreamcasts wont play Mil-CD games, the likelyhood of you stumbling on one is quite low to be honest.

i was looking at this one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300377595532&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT and i asked him is it hkt-3000 and he said yes then i asked does it play mil-cd and its been 2 days without a response, im just looking for a nice clean model, also LAST HOPE PINK BULLETS wont load up if the dreamcast has had the mil-cd function taken of

I have yet to encounter a Dreamcast yet that will not play games burned on CD-Rs. I have found some that play better than others but in general almost all of them do.

i just purchased a mint R7 DREAMCAST which is limited edition with the broadband modem and i also bought LAST HOPE PINK BULLETS so that should be a treat.
