I just purchased a ghouls n ghosts capcom pcb and when it was shipped it was already connected to the mobo. I want to put some pcb feet on the mobo but in order to do this I have to separate the game board from the mobo. What is the easiest and safest way to do this without damaging anything. I initially tried just to pry them apart with my hands but had no luck (both boards are really on tight and secured to each other). I didn't want to force anyhing so they are still connected.

Usually there are some screws that hold down the connected boards together, otherwise they should just pull apart. If the boards have never been seperated before it may be a tough pull but as long as they'll pull apart straight and not at any angle, you shouldn't be able to bend the pins in the connector itself.

I wouldn't mess with it. CPS1 board connectors loose connection a lot once you initially separate them. You shouldn't have to pull them apart to put feet on if you use the right ones.

Just have regular pcb feet I purchased at Southtown. The problem is the game board gets in the way on the one end. I am able to sucure the two feet near the jamma connector but not the other end because the top board is in the way.

IIRC, my old CPS1 boards had one extra long bolt going through that side. You should be able to remove the smaller bolt holding the 2 boards and then inserting a longer one so that the pcb feet can be attached to it. It's been awhile but I think that's how they went.

After looking their were no screws that attached the boards. Thus, I was extra careful and gave an extra pull and was able to separate them without a problem and get the feet attached. All good now. I swear the board I bought was rarely used. It looks brand new and the connection and pins were tight as hell.

Thanks for the help
