I just got my first CPS 2 "A" board and I am planning on using it with my Super Nova. It came with what I believe is a kick harness. Were and how do I use this with the Nova which already has a Auxiliary connector. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you might have to replace the super nova harness with the cps2 one to use it. if it already came with a cps2 harness, you just plug that into the cps2 a board.

You basically take the wires from the kick harness and plug them into the auxilary connector of the Nova. You have to match the buttons according to the instructions in the NOVA manual and the pinouts on the CPS2 harness (so that each kick "sensor" goes to the right button on your Nova buttons)

Yes I am going to run into this problem in a week or 2 myself if the fool I bought the board from ever figures out how to ship a package. I suspected that I would have to chop off the pin connector that comes with the Supernova (what is it 8-pin, 10 pin?) anyway and then just join the wires.

I am not too worried about matching the buttons, I figure that it's pretty easy to troubleshoot if you hit "Kick" and your opponent kicks you.

No no no! hehe dont chop anything, just connect it right to the nova harness, all you have to do plug them in from the cps2 harness.

Outsider is correct Thanks! The Nova's manual is wrong though, they have the connecter facing up and I put the wires in the way they said but to no avail. I turned the connecter upside down and put the wires in the same order and it works.

Cool, I will try not to chop off anything unless I get angry. Not like it would be the end of the world, I could always rejoin the wires.

I own alot of cps 2 games and what I usually do to find out how to wire up the auxiliary connector for my different games is to go into the test menu then probe around the pins to find out which pins do what, be carefully to stay away from the Q sound pins which are also located on the auxilary connector. Or you can search online for individual game user manual which will tell you which pins are which? Its nice to know there are fellow cps 2 user out there, which games do you have?

I just received the CPS 2 A board yesterday along with Super Street Fighter 2. While it isn't my favorite SF game it was only 35 dollars. I am planning on getting more of course (SF Zero/Alpha 2 being the one I want most).

In my opinion aliens vs predator and the dungeons and dragons games are the best games that run on the cps 2 hardware and are the priced items in my personal collection. I even have the rare cps 1 game cadilacs and dinosaurs.
