Been thinking about getting this just to do some practicing when I'm not at home, but if its not an accurate port then theres not really any point. Anyone played it yet?

I'm not sure how much I trust that guy's review. He uses a lot of "It seems like," and "I'm not sure, but..." in there. Plus, he seems to be under the impression that Tekken controls consist of high punch/low punch and high kick/low kick. How he can not figure out that isn't the case after more than a decade of Tekken is puzzling. But confusing the Tekken control set-up for Mortal Kombat's makes the entire review suspect.

I have the PSP port. It's entirely faithful to the console ports of the game. All the moves, stages, music and animations are in there. Only thing different is the removal of campaign mode and downgraded graphics

Too bad there is no Tekken Dojo option in there. I spent hours playing that mode in DR PSP. Aside from that, gameplay and animations are just like the home releases. If you want to play tekken everywhere, then you can't go wrong with Tekken 6 for PSP.

It cant be any worse than Tekken 5 DR on PSP. Which I own and its pretty damn nice for a PSP game. If you are good with a dual shock it is worth getting. if you are used to a arcade stick there is alot to get used to.

I just bought it. I don't have the console version and have only played the game a couple of times in the arcade.

So far I think it's great. All the characters are unlocked right off the bat and it there's an arcade, story and ghost mode to play single player. I don't know anyone else with the game so I can't comment on the multiplayer.

The graphics are fantastic and the Tekken feel is fully intact. I bought it as a fighting game to play on the airplane and a way to practice a bit on my own before playing it with friends.

So what characters do people like? I'm surprised there are so many new characters. It will take me a while to get really into this.

Is tekken online possible or only ad hoc?

i have not played this game much since i bought it because i don't see it as a true 6. this game should have been labelled 'super tekken 5'(sf joke) or something..

the graphics are identical to tekken 5, all the characters from tekken 5 have the exact same customes in 6(just some new moves) & backgrounds from 5 have been recycled into 6. 'story mode' for most characters only consists of about 4 - 5 stages(some characters as low as 2 stages).

:shame:

I owned Tekken 5 DR for ps3 and I feel like 6 is a good upgrade, but you're right, not a huge one.. The game definitely has the same feel and doesn't feel as fresh as 5 did, but there are lot of new characters.

I agree about the backgrounds, I hoping for a little bit more.

I'm happy to play ghost mode and try and perfect some combos while I'm riding on the train. Tsuka and I have been playing a bit of vs. lately on the console version and REALLY enjoying ourselves.

I agree it's not a big step forward, but I think it's a pretty good refinement. I also agree that this game isn't really essential at all if you own Dark Resurrection.

who here really wants campaign mode on PSP? I say its better off without it. That mode is beyond horrible.. Tekken Force(mode) was my all time favourite.
